Comment Rules

I know YU are all thoughtful, accountable people (so I probably don’t need to go over this), but when it comes to commenting, let’s make sure that we are cool about it. A lot of heart, effort and time go into YumUniverse.com—the creation of recipes and sharing of resources is something all of the contributors and I take great care in.

We have a low tolerance for soap-boxing and fanaticism. YumUniverse is a place for acceptance and support. We are not interested in perpetuating stereotypes here. YumUniverse is an opportunity for connection, change and growth. There are myriad ways to live a plant-based lifestyle. Your approach may be different than someone else’s (not better, just different), so think before you comment. Be kind and have an open mind.

Make criticism constructive. If you have a problem with something, offer up an option/solution, and if you are commenting on a recipe, please make sure that you have prepared it exactly as we listed before you do (using all recommended ingredients and preparations). If you haven’t, let us know how you adapted it, what worked and what didn’t, so we can help. If you’re rude, we’ll delete your comments. Please do not put your URL in the comment text and please use your personal name or initials and not your business name, as the latter comes off like spam. You will be able to link to your site with your name when you fill out your comment.

Have fun and thanks for adding to the conversation! YU are an important part of it all.
