Tip 3: Inform Yourself

This is a great tip to incorporate with Tip #2. See, the more you inform yourself and “lift the veil,” the easier making the right choices will become for you.

A great example is when you learn about the differences between CAFO farming and grass-fed farming. As you uncover the truth, you will have important information (not to mention motivating mental pictures) stored in your mind. So next time you shop, you won’t be making blind choices.

Visit “The Big Crash Course” post or our shop for YumUniverse recommended books, movies and articles about everything from organic farming to how to become a vegan triathlete.

Read books with varying points-of-view, watch a variety of documentaries. Some of the ideas may not seem to be a good fit for you, while others will seem like they are designed just for you.

The more you learn, the more you will “see” how blind you may have been. The more empowered you feel, the more effortless this whole plant-based way of eating will become for you—for the long term.

Dive into the information yourself so you can truly understand WHY you are making certain choices. The more info you digest (I couldn’t help myself), the more you will have what you need to accomplish all of your health goals.

You can do this!
